Background:
The European Investment Bank (EIB), represented by Vice-President Kris Peeters, and the Brussels Capital Region represented by Minister-President Rudi Vervoort, Minister of Finance & Budget Sven Gatz, Minister for Mobility Elke van den Brandt will sign a loan facility for the upgrading of the existing underground tram connection between the Albert and Gare du Nord / Noordstation stops to a fully underground metro, which will become the City’s new metro line 3 (M3). Brieuc de Meeus will be present on behalf of the MIVB-STIB.
